SISCHAIN: A Sisterhood Blockchain to Fight Gender Violence started as a graduate level project within the scope of Master in City & Technology at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia by students: Adriana Aguirre-Such & Stefania-Maria Kousoula and faculty: Maria-Luisa Marsal Llacuna.

Since then, Sischain has been further developed and grown to become an individual project of the Sischain team: Adriana Aguire-Such, Stefania-Maria Kousoula and Sinay Coskun-Gocalp.

On December 2022 it was awarded the PremioBcn FemTech first prize of the Municipality of Barcelona in the category “Digital Violence”.

On May 2022 Sischain was invited to participate in the 1st Forum of Innovation and Inequalities (FID2022) by COTEC foundation for innovation
